50 x 100 cm (approx. 20 x 40 inches), oil on gallery wrapped canvas (depth 4 cm/1.6 inches) with the sides painted in a single color matching the painting. Signed on front and back, includes a certificate of authenticity. Comes with hanging hardware.
About the artwork
Untamed is dedicated to the Isar, the river that flows through Munich. My goal was to catch all those little ripples and reflections water creates. When standing close, the painting almost looks like an abstract. If you look from a distance, however, the shapes of the waves connect together and reveal the nature of the water.
